| Mid-Ulster School of Music was established in October 2004 and caters for all ages, tastes, and abilities. Fiona Donaghy, Proprietor of the School has been involved in Music since she was a child. A graduate of Queens University, Belfast in Music and English she has been teaching private music lessons for almost twenty years and is also an active performer, having performed in America, Canada, and locally in such Belfast venues as the Grand Opera House, Ten Square, the Europa Hotel and Larry's Piano Bar to name but a few. |  |
| Beginning with two teachers in October 2004 the school currently has 14 teachers providing music lessons in piano, vocal, guitar, drums, violin, saxophone, flute and one to one theory lessons. In 2008 the school added a drama and dance department and currently provides dance and drama group lessons from age 3yrs upward on a Saturday. | | | | Mid Ulster School of Music has also produced five very successful stage shows in the Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown. This gives pupils the experience of performing in front of a live venue. | | | | Working with Rockschool, Associated Board, Trinity and London College of Music exam boards ,means that the right style of exam can be chosen for the right pupil. Students can take grades in various styles from Rock to Classical to Music Theatre. The school has an excellent record of exam success in all instruments.
